Welcome to the celebration of the eccentricities as well as the ho-hum of my San Antonio neighborhood. Running from loop 410 all the way into downtown, McCullough Ave. and the nearby streets have a flavor that is 2 parts happiness, 1 part barbacoa. Enjoy the ride!

  1. I also live off the ‘cullough! This is hilarious and awesome! It’s also really well written! I can’t stop using exclamation points!

  2. My Mom is from Texas…Brownsville. I’m going to enjoy this…it’s the Y’all that brought me in. When we were little kids, our parents took us to meet our Texas cousins. We gave them our Californian “You guys!”, which cracked them up…and we started saying Y’all like born to the prairie within ten minutes. Texas, in the blood.

    • “Y’all” is a word that grabs you and never lets go.
Glad you stopped by! My mom is from a city near Brownsville (San Benito) AND she grew up with dachshunds! My granny had one for the longest time named Sam who was a long haired guy and his ears would always be so gross because they would slosh around in the water bowl when he drank—I loved him. Good wiener memories….I’m going to live vicariously through your adventures
